Ben Nevis Race 2025

For the avoidance of doubt the receipt is the Si-entries ‘Entry Confirmation Email’ that you would have received if you are in the race.

This annual event is held on the first Saturday in September. This year the race is on Saturday 6th September 2025, starting at 1pm from New Town Park, Claggan, Fort William. Entries limit is 600.

There are NO runners Red cards this year, as you will have a chip on your bib number which should be displayed at all times. You will require your confirmation receipt that you would have received from Si-Entries, either a paper copy or an electronic copy to register on the day.

Registration takes place from 9.00am and you must have your Entry Receipt, if not you will not be able to register, bring with you to collect your, bib number, etc.

All competitors will receive a t-shirt at registration if they chose to receive one on your entry application.

Can I also take this opportunity to remind you that if you retire at any point during the race, you must inform a marshal as soon as possible AND report to the secretary’s/ time keepers tent.

The race is being electronically timed this year by Protay.co.uk and you will be able to see your results shortly after finishing.

Race numbers: Do not fold, bend, or cover your race number. It should be worn on the front of your body—your stomach is the ideal location (placing it on the side of your shorts is not acceptable). This ensures high-quality reads at the timing points, providing not only accurate times but also enhancing your safety on the hill, and improving sponsor visibility.

Registration is from 9am until 12.30pm

Bona Fide Club

Just to make it clear once again, you must be a member of a Bona Fide Running Club, Tri Club or Athletics Club, So if you have entered as “Individual”, “Unattached” or a made up Club name you will not be accepted in the race, or if you are found be be using a made-up name you will be withdrawn, as this invalidates our insurance and puts Our Race at Risk.

So if you have NOT received and invite and you think you should have, then please check your entry on Sientries and amend your application after joining an appropriate club.
